"SEVEN" Gray Knit Hat
The number seven enjoys many meanings, at times referred to as “lucky” and even “magnificent.” At least as important, from our perspective, is that it refers to the location of the Portland Museum of Art at 7 Congress Square Park. In 2014, the PMA was fortunate enough to acquire Robert Indiana’s metal Seven, which now doubles as a museum logo. An icon of Pop, Indiana lived in Vinalhaven, Maine for more than four decades, yet as the artist behind this sculpture, he’s also central to Portland’s visible everyday. And as the owner of this hat, remember that representing your favorite museum counts as its own lucky charm.
