Rose Marasco: index Catalogue
This elegant catalogue accompanies Rose Marasco: index, the first-ever retrospective for Portland photographer Rose Marasco. The exhibition includes her exhaustive series of photographs of Maine’s many Grange Halls, the photographs made in her own home that fall loosely within the decade-long series called Domestic Objects, and many more. Also included are images made in and around Portland over the past 35 years—which form an unintended visual chronicle of the city.
The catalogue includes numerous reproductions of her work, a bio by Curatorial Assistant Mollie Armstrong, and the transcript of an extensive conversation between Marasco and PMA Chief Curator Jessica May.
