"I would like to paint like a bird sings," Impressionist painter Claude Monet (1840-1926) once said, presumably while overlooking the family garden at Giverny. The garden, filled with an abundance of colorful flowers and a pond with water lilies, served as an inspiration for some of his most famous paintings.
