Georgia O'Keeffe: A Sunflower from Maggie Small Boxed Cards
Sunflowers were a motif to which Georgia O’Keeffe returned throughout her career. A Sunflower from Maggie, the 1937 painting featured in this set, may be her best known. The peachy background evokes the clay of the desert and throws the green and yellow flower into relief. This painting also offers us a story of friendship, as O’Keeffe received the sunflower from Maggie, a friend visiting from New York. Extend this spirit of generosity in giving the card to your friends.
