OOP Winslow Homer Boxed Notecards
This collection of notecards showcases some of Winslow Homer’s finest watercolors from the transitional period between his work as an illustrator with Harper’s and his mature landscapes on the Coast of Maine. The compositions feature four very different settings, from the schoolroom to the farmland and the seaside, yet collectively celebrate the virtues of daily routine. Known as an artist forever hard at work, these meditative representations of female labor reveal Homer’s mastery in treating hard work itself as a ripe subject for art.
